Free Homework Help-Homework Hotline
All Tennessee students in grades K-12 have access to free homework help through a service called Homework Hotline.
The hotline offers help and tutoring in reading, language arts, math, social studies, science, Spanish, and more. Calculus, trigonometry, physics, chemistry, and most other subjects, even AP, are available to high school students--all taught by certified teachers. Help is available in six languages.
Teachers are available to answer calls Monday through Thursday from 5-9 p.m. Eastern time. The hotline may be reached by calling 1-888-868-5777 or (615) 298-6636.
When a student calls the Homework Hotline, the teacher will ask if it is the student's first time calling. If so, the teacher will provide the student with a "code name" to be used throughout the entire school year. The code name will be the first initial and the last initial of the student with the last four digits of the student’s telephone number. The student will be asked their grade, name of their school, and if they have internet access to work together online, if needed.
Students may call as many times as they would like, and parents may call as well.
